Click on ”Tools” then ”Accounts”.

In the “New Account” screen, select “POP” as the Account type.
In the “Edit Account” screen, enter the following settings:
Account name: how the account should be described by Entourage, for example “UWA Student Email”
Name: the name that should appear in the ”From:” field of emails you send
E-mail address: the email that should appear in the ”From:” field of emails you send
Account Id: [your student number]@student.uwa.edu.au
(for example, 12345678@student.uwa.edu.au)
POP Server: pop.gmail.com
Password: your Pheme password
Ensure the “Save password in my Mac OS keychain” box is checked
SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
Under “Receiving mail”, click on “Click here for advanced receiving options” and make sure “This POP service requires a secure connection (SSL)” is selected.
Under “Sending mail”, click on “Click here for advanced sending options” and select “SMTP service requires secure connection (SSL)”, “Override default SMTP port”, entering 465 as the port number, and “SMTP server requires authentication” and select “Use same settings as receiving mail server.”

Click on “Options” and ensure “Leave a copy of each message on the server” is selected
Click ”OK” to finish and then close the ”Accounts” window.

En este tutorial, veremos como se puede agregar la cuenta de su dominio ej: micuenta@midominio.com a su cuenta personal de gmail ej: juancho@gmail.com, habilitando el recibir y enviar correo desde gmail utilizando el nombre de su dominio ej: Desde su gmail podra enviar correos utilizando su cuenta de correo @sudominio.com.

Para configurar el correo de sudominio.com en outlook 2007 debe seguir los siguientes pasos.

LOS PROVEEDORES DE INTERNET (TURBONET, TELEFONICA, TIGO ETC.) Generalmente bloquean el puerto de SMTP de salida numero 25, utilizar en lugar de ese el puerto 26.

¿Cómo configurar mi cuenta de correo Thunderbird?

1. Seleccione del menú de “Herramientas” la opción de “Configuración de las Cuentas”

2. Proceda seleccionando la opción “Añadir Cuenta”

3. Esta selección abrirá un nuevo asistente de configuración de cuentas de correo. Seleccionamos “Cuenta de Correo electrónico” y continuamos con “Siguiente”

4. A continuación, capture su nombre y dirección de correo electrónico.

5. Proceda con la captura del asistente a seleccionar la opción de POP3 y capturar el nombre del servidor de entrada y de salida.

6. Continúe capturando el “Nombre de usuario entrante” y “Nombre de usuario saliente” en ambos casos este será el nombre de su usuario de correo a configurar y presione “Siguiente”

7. Configure el nombre de la cuenta para poderla identificar mas fácil.

8. Para finalizar verifique los datos presentados por el asistente para confirmarlos presionando el botón de “Aceptar”
